Qatar Charity, first INGO from Arab world, has
implemented entrepreneurship Development Project in rural areas of Rautahat
district.
The project has established 10 business shops
containing business goods of grocery and supporting equipment such as
refrigerator, showcase, display rack, calculator and business log books, along
with 10 four wheelers Rickshaw (Thela) with business goods.
Each family received support of equivalent to NPR
150,000 of goods and equipment. They also received 2 months’ rent of shops with
entrepreneurship development training and counseling.
With the aim of creating more livelihoods
opportunities and improving quality lives Qatar Charity catered to the needs of
socially excluded groups living below the poverty lines.
The handover ceremony was held in Gaur, Rautahat in
presence of Hon'l Yogendra Ray Yadav state Minister, Ministry of Agriculture,
Province No. 2, as chief guest, Provincial Assembly Members, Chairperson
District Coodination Committee, Rautahat, Chief District Officer, Chief
Security Personnels, Mayors country director of Qatar Charity Mr. El. M.
Abdelaziz Alaoui and Project Manager Irshad Ali Shekh and other ward
commissioners of different wards of Province no. 2.
Previously they had implemented Goat Farming project
in Sarlahi and Rautahat districts covering 264 poor families.
