Qatar Charity provides financial assistance to Budhathoki

Qatar Charity has provided financial support to the senior financial journalist Gajendra Budathoki. Budathoki, suffering by multiple attack due to high blood pressure and diabetic, got the assist in co-ordination of Nepalese Association of Financial Journalists (NAFIJ).

Irshad Ali Shekh, Program Manager of Qatar Charity, hand over the amount at Budathoki’s residence located at Budanilakantha Municipality, Kapan. Shekh gave him the cheque  of ninety two thousand , four hundred and forty two rupees which is equivalent to three thousand Qatar Riyal. According to Qatar Charity, it has provided such assistance to 18 people till now.

Sitaram Bhattarai, chairperson of NAFIJ, Vice-chairperson, Indra Baniya and Executive member Mohammad Ajmat Ali also were present on the occasion. NAFIJ has given 14 thousand rupees in course of his treatment.

Budathoki expressed his heartily thankfulness to Qatar Charity. He said, ‘Such help encourages me to continue my journey of ethics based journalism.’ He is one of the financial journalists who believe on ethical practices. He has spent 23 years on reporting financial sector of Nepal.

Qatar Charity is a Doha based INGO dedicated to carry out humanitarian and development programs to fight global poverty where people live in dignity.  It is working in Nepal since June, 2017 as the biggest INGO from Arab World. It has provided almost Rs.150 million as assistance in different parts of Nepal.  On Friday 7 June 2017 an agreement has been signed between Qatar Charity and Social Care Authority the Nepali government body responsible for organizing the activities of NGOs, to give license to Qatar Charity for 5 years to work in infrastructure, particularly education and health.
