Qatar aims new steps to reduce trade deficit of Nepal

Qatar have announced that it will reach a deal with Nepal on agriculture and investment protection. Qatari ambassador to Nepal Yousuf bin Mohamed Al-Hail declared it on the event 'Prospects of Nepal Qatar Economic Relations in The Perspective of Trade, Tourism, Investment and Labor' organized by Nepal chamber.

He further informed that the new steps would be taken to reduce the trade deficit with each other. He also informed that more than 4 million Nepalis working in the labor market of Qatar. Ambassador Yousuf bin Mohamed stressed that the remittance sent by those people is 2 billion Nepali rupees every year which has led to the economy growth of nepal. 5 flights carried out by Qatar Qatar Airways have helped in connectivity between the two countries, he said.

In the program, President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, urged to invest in trade, trade, agriculture and human resources. focusing on the fact that both countries are rich in natural resources President Shrestha emphasized on mutual cooperation between the two countries as there are plenty of new opportunities. He said that the balance of Nepal-Qatar trade was a matter of primary priority . he therefore requested for more investment in agriculture, tourism and industry sector.
